Rose McGowan Whines About How Traumatizing It Was to Grow up in America

Actress turned radical leftwing activist Rose McGowan just gave a ridiculous new interview in which she lamented that growing up in America was “more traumatizing” than being raised in a cult.

Fox News reported that McGowan was born in Italy to American parents and moved to the United States when she was 10 years old. She was raised in the abusive Children of God cult, which she has admitted promoted sex between children and adults. Though McGowan has said that growing up in this cult was bad, she claims it was not as traumatizing as growing up in the U.S.

“I’ve found America absolutely harrowing,” the 45-year-old said. “America was a lot more traumatizing to me actually. I found America much, much more hardcore than the cult.”

McGowan went on to back this up by saying that she was the target of bullying as a child.

“In one state I lived in I had things thrown at me every day,” she said, adding that bullies told her, “You’re the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen.”

The fact alone that McGowan is allowed to even call living in America “traumatizing” should show her just how lucky she really is to be here. McGowan should consider herself blessed that she lives in a nation that gives her the freedom of speech, a right that allows her to whine about the very country that has given her so much. Many people around the world who live in far worse countries are met with severe penalties for saying the slightest negative thing about their countries. If McGowan thinks living in the U.S. is “traumatizing,” she should see what it’s like living in North Korea!

It never ceases to amaze just how ungrateful American liberals are to the very country that has given them so much. Liberals like McGowan behave like spoiled children who complain about their parents without noticing just how much their parents are doing for them. We can only hope that McGowan will one day see the error in her ways and realize how lucky she is to be an American.

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
