Ronda Rousey

– RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey, along with challengers Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch, appeared on ESPN’s SportsCenter earlier today to talk about the women making history on April 7th by being the first-ever females to headline a Wrestlemania.

While Charlotte and Becky made some heartfelt statements about what closing the Grandest Stage of Them All means to them, talking about their past with the industry, and the incredible milestone for women’s wrestling this all is; Rousey seemed less-than-impressed, stating she was (on the one hand) ‘already expecting’ a Wrestlemania main event, but was also happy when she found out it was secured. Rousey also took somewhat of a jab at the WWE saying their Women’s Revolution “copied” the current momentum of a women’s evolution going on culturally around the globe.

– The wrestling sites were all ablaze earlier this week when Nikki Bella stated she was “fully retired” from in-ring action with the WWE, during the season ending of Total Bellas.

The Wrestling Observer Radio recently noted that this retirement announcement is more of a ‘wrestler’s retirement’, meaning one more match could be in the books. This just might be true, as TMZ recently reported that sources close to Bella stated she is certainly interested in a WWE return, if the right situation were to arise. Nikki adores wrestling and the business; therefore she is very open to a return at some point in the future.

No indication if she would return on a part-time or full-time basis; however, if Vince McMahon creates the right situation for Bella, she could be down with another storyline for the company that sees her jumping back into in-ring action.

While she may not step into that squared circle anytime soon, it is important to note that Nikki Bella remains as a WWE ambassador for the company.
