Olivia Jade Blames Parents for Ruining Her Life With College Admissions Scandal

Not content with getting into college, allegedly without lifting a finger, Olivia Jade is reportedly now blaming her parents, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Gianulli, for ruining her life by lying and cheating to get her and her sister into USC, and paying $500,000 for the privilege.

“Olivia blames her mom and dad for this scandal and for the downfall of her career,” Us Weekly reported a source told them.

How positively spoiled brat-ish.

They went on to report that the beauty influencer was hoping the scandal would blow over.

“[She] was initially trying to shrug off the scandal as something that would pass after a week and she could go back to her life.”

The 19-year-old was on a USC official’s yacht — she’s friends with his daughter — when the news broke about the scandal and her parents were indicted for fraud.

It shouldn’t be surprising that a teen who allegedly couldn’t even be bothered to figure out how to fill out her own fraudulent college application wouldn’t take this event as a time to reflect on her part in going along with the scam.

No more college for Olivia Jade, for now.

In the aftermath of the scandal, Olivia Jade and older sister Isabella, 20, have both officially withdrawn from USC in what can be seen as an effort to beat the university to the punch and avoid being kicked out, which would go on their permanent records.

However, Olivia Jade has also seen her burgeoning makeup and beauty business drying up, as aesthetics giant Sephora and other makeup brands, including TRESemmé, have since cut ties with the influencer.

“Now that her endorsement deals have fallen through she is very upset with her parents,” Us Weekly’s source said. “Olivia didn’t even show interest in going to college, she wanted to take time and work on her beauty career, but her parents were the ones who wanted her to get an education.”

It’s true that Olivia Jade expressed a complete disinterest in the academic part of college last August before she began her freshman year.

“I don’t know how much of school I’m gonna attend, but I’m gonna go in and talk to my deans and everyone, and hope that I can try and balance it all,” Olivia said to her nearly two million YouTube subscribers. “But I do want the experience of like game days, partying … I don’t really care about school, as you guys all know.”

You’d think she’d be grateful for the fact that she is no longer having to fit pesky school into her schedule.

While the family lies low as Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Gianulli await further legal proceedings, it seems that Olivia Jade is using the time to think of herself as the spoiled victim rather than admitting her part in the fraud (though, how much the girls knew about the scam is unknown) and figuring out how to move forward in her life and mending her career.
