John Cena WrestleMania Plans + Ronda Rousey Last RAW Date?

-In recent weeks, now-former United States Champion R-Truth has been invoking the name (and moves) of part-time WWE Superstar John Cena.

Last night on SmackDown Live, R-Truth was not the only one bringing Cena up. Truth had an open challenge, much like John Cena. It evolved into a fatal fourway match with the United States Title on the line. Truth even used the five knuckle shuffle mid-match.

However, despite paying homage to John Cena, R-Truth lost the championship. New United States Champion Samoa Joe had no problem still involving Cena, however.

In a post-match backstage interview, Joe talked about Cena in less than flattering ways. As we know, scripted lines are rarely spoken by accident when it pertains to talking about other Superstars. The belief among fans is that this is foreshadowing a WrestleMania program. Ringside News confirms as much, reporting that the expectation (for now) is that we will finally see John Cena and Samoa Joe work a program, culminating in a WrestleMania bout.

-If you missed this week’s RAW, you missed a lot. One of the biggest happenings was RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey re-claiming the title belt and turning heel.

Much has been said about Rousey in recent months. The long-rumored Rousey-Becky Lynch match appears destined to happen, finally, at WrestleMania (albeit with one added Superstar). We’ve seen fans turn on her, with Rousey gradually moving to the heel side of the aisle.

There has also been discussion about Ronda Rousey’s long term plans within WWE. While the word was she had signed a two year contract last year, and Rousey herself declaring she was in this for the long haul, those plans appear to have changed.

Speculation has grown over recent weeks and months that Rousey would be leaving following WrestleMania. Rousey herself has started using her status in promos, declaring that she’s made enough money that she does not need to be in WWE.

Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer now adds some more information to this speculation. Per Meltzer, Rousey’s last scheduled WWE date is for the RAW after WrestleMania
