Becky Lynch Offered Multi-Year WWE Deal, Superstar Gets Name Change

– It’s undeniable that Becky Lynch is riding a huge momentum wave in the WWE right now. Experiencing a “Stone Cold” Steve Austin-type of crowd reaction, she’s not only one of the top female talents on the roster, she’s seeming the new “face that runs the place” in the company, and is headed to close Wrestlemania 35 with Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair; making history as the first-ever women’s match to main event the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Which makes the idea of getting offered a multi-year WWE contract no surprise. As per Pro Wrestling Sheet, The Man was given a new deal earlier in March and it is expected that she’ll sign it and soon. It clearly must include more money, which is something Lynch has earned this point. Here’s hoping there are other perks in there as well. Seems as if Becks will be with the WWE for the long haul now.

– If you’ve hopped online recently, you may have noticed that the “Mustafa” has been dropped from a SmackDown LIVE’s superstar’s name. The name change for Mustafa Ali … we mean just “Ali”, has gone into effect on WWE.com, as well as the talent’s Twitter handle, which is now @AliWWE.

Ali tweeted about this name change during last night’s RAW, commenting for the first time about it. He stated that the meaning behind “Mustafa” is “chosen one”; however, he also noted that nothing has changed. See his post, below:

Name change or not, Ali has a bright future in the WWE. Sadly, he was set for a push around the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view; however, an injury knocked him out of the event, where Kofi Kingston replaced him. Since, Kofi has been experiencing some incredible momentum with fans, and it seems as if Kingston might be on his way to Wrestlemania 35 (notwithstanding some bumps along the rode) to a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match. In a class act move, Ali recently tweeted his feelings around #Kofimania. See below:
