UFC on ESPN+3 Results: Stefan Struve’s Heart Doesn’t Explode, And He Earns a Tapout

You might recognize Stefan Struve from such films as “I Was a Human Skyscraper” and “The Weather Is Great Up Here, Thanks For Asking”. But what you might not know is that he’s also a heavyweight fighter whose decline has been going steady for years. And also, he had some fights canceled because his heart was on the verge of exploding.

Well, at today’s UFC on ESPN+3, homeboy had the co-main event slot, standing opposite TUF Brasil 3 washout Marcos Rogerio De Lima. And it was a banner night for Struve, because the Dutchman’s heart DID NOT explode, and he got the win.

It wasn’t easy. It took all of three seconds for De Lima to knock Struve down with an overhand, and the subsequent ground and pound was ugly.

But there’s a reason De Lima washed out of TUF Brasil, because Struve simply threw him down in the second round, mounted him, and tapped him out with an arm-triangle choke.

Nice one, Struve. Nice one.
