Following Robert Whittaker’s short notice withdrawal from UFC 234 yesterday, the champ’s team has released a statement detailing the scary injury that forced him out.
Whittaker was supposed to defend the middleweight title against Kelvin Gastelum in the headliner, but on Saturday it was announced he’d been diagnosed with a hernia. Since then, Whittaker’s camp released the statement below:
