For Aljamain Sterling, there is no time like the present.
Sterling scored a victory over Jimmie Rivera Sunday night at UFC on ESPN 1, a win that he believes positions himself quite nicely in the bantamweight division.
The 29-year-old has now won three in a row, pushing his overall mark to 17-3. Along with the victory vs. Rivera, he topped both Cody Stamman and Brett Johns in 2018, rebounding from a loss to fellow top contender Marlon Moraes.
“I’m here to make money,” Sterling said. “I’m here to change my life. That’s why I got into the sport. I’m here to be a world champion.”
