Hulk Hogan: “I’m Too Old To Wrestle"

Hulk Hogan is always campaigning for another match, but he seems to realize that those days are numbered. In a recent interview with People, Hogan mentioned wanting to wrestle to John Cena or Vince McMahon; but knows he would need a hospital bed after the match concluded.

“I’m too old to wrestle,” said Hogan. “I embarrassed myself enough out there by moving too slow, so I don’t want to get back in there again.”

It has been a productive 12 months for Hogan after being fired in 2015. He apologized to the WWE locker room for his racist comments and was reinstated into the WWE Hall of Fame. Hogan wold appear at the controversial Crown Jewel event by opening the show, but WWE never emphasized the appearance. Then when Mean Gene Okerlund passed away at the start of the year, Hogan returned to RAW and cut a promo about his late friend.

As of now, there is word if or when Hogan will return to WWE on a regular basis. Considering everything that has occurred, WWE needs to go slow and correctly handle the matter. Whatever they do, please do not let the 65 year old wrestle.

– Fans were surprised on the Christmas Eve episode of RAW when Vince McMahon appeared in a taped vignette to reveal the Women Tag Team Titles. Since then, all we know is that the inaugural champions will be crowned at the Elimination Chamber with six teams from RAW and SmackDown.

In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it stated that the leading candidates on the RAW side to compete are Sasha Banks & Bayley, Nia Jax & Tamina and some combination of the Riott Squad. No word on which superstars from SmackDown might wrestle.

Banks & Bayley have been the favorites to claim the titles before they were even announced. There is a rumor that they will capture the gold and then defend against WWE Hall of Famers Trish Stratus & Lita at WrestleMania. WWE has been dropping hints about that match for a few months.
