Meghan McCain and Joy Behar Go at It When Behar Blames Trump for the Shutdown

Meghan McCain and radical leftist Joy Behar went at it once again on “The View” Thursday after the leftwing host tried to blame the government shutdown solely on President Donald Trump. Thankfully, McCain did not hesitate to remind Behar that her beloved Democrat leaders are just as responsible for the shutdown as Trump is.

Mediaite reported that it all started when the panel was discussing how members of Congress have behaved during the shutdown. McCain tried to explain that Democrats are just as much to blame for the shutdown at this point, saying that the situation “makes everyone look bad.” Behar then stepped in to say that Trump had promised to take the blame for the shutdown and that the majority of Americans do indeed blame him for it. That’s when McCain finally lost her temper at Behar’s leftwing nonsense.

“Really quick, really quick. I just want to ask one question. I know you hate Trump, I know you want him impeached, I got it,” McCain exclaimed. “I want to ask you a question—let’s not get a cheap applause line, because I would rather not be like the politicians in Congress. Maybe I should just stand here and you can throw tomatoes at the Republican.”

McCain asked Behar directly if she blames Democrats at all for the shutdown, but the liberal refused to say if she did. Instead, she argued that Democrats were going to give Trump everything he wants besides the wall, at which point McCain decided to put her in her place once and for all.

“I think we have to be intellectually honest with our audience, both in this room and outside watching from behind the cameras about what is actually happening in the country and what we want to happen in the country,” McCain fired back. “People aren’t getting paid. Both sides should be adults about this, including on this show, to get it right, and I’m sick of playing politics on this show every day with this issue that affects everyone.”

Democrats would rather see America fail than see Trump succeed

McCain hit the nail on the head with her perspective once again. If Democrats are really so concerned about government workers not getting paid, they can end the shutdown just as quickly and easily as Trump can. In the end, all of this is happening because Democrats are desperate to ensure Trump will not fulfill his campaign promise of building a border wall. Though many top Democrats have called for border barriers in the past, they are now against them just because they don’t want to help Trump in any way. These Democrats would rather see our country fail than see Trump succeed, and they are the ones who should hold the majority of the blame for this shutdown.
