Here Are The Favourites To Win The Royal Rumble!

The Royal Rumble is almost upon us. Hopefully, this one will be more enjoyable than some other pay-per-views we had to suffer through in 2017 and 2018. Of course, a new year comes with a new hope. Hope, not just for us, but also for the superstars who could win the rumble. So, who are the favourites this year?

Drew McIntyre

One of the main people pegged to take the Royal Rumble win is none other than Drew McIntyre. Since he is one of my personal favourites, I am quite excited about this prospect.

McIntyre was impressive in 2018, so it is only natural that should be rewarded in the first pay-per-view of 2019. In fact, Drew was hand-picked by Vince McMahon years ago, but it was not meant to be back then. Now he is back, and better than ever!

John Cena

It would almost be a crime to mention the Royal Rumble and forget about Big Match John. Still the king of the promo and supported by the Cenation, John Cena is another top pick to take the win at the Rumble.

The chances of Cena winning do depend – in my opinion – on who will take the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania. If it is Lesnar, I doubt the WWE will pick Cena. However, if someone else is set to take the title from Lesnar before the grand wrestling event – for example, one of the up and comers – then a win for Cena is more likely. By defeating Cena at WrestleMania, the superstar in question could cement their legacy in WWE history.

Andrade Cien Almas

Yes, I know it is supposed to be just Andrade now, but I am annoyed at the name change, so I will keep using Cien Almas. It has a certain grandeur around it, so why change it? Anyway, now my rant is over, let us look at why Andrade CIEN ALMAS could win the Rumble.

When it comes down to performance in the ring, nobody has matched Andrade Cien Almas from the younger wrestler generation. He put on stellar matches, and thanks to Zelina Vega and her excellent promo skills, Cien Almas delivers the full package.

Of course, Cien Almas is part of the younger generation and has not been on the main roster for verylong. That is one of the things that could work against him when Vince picks the winner for the Royal Rumble. That being said, given his performance, Cien Almas should most certainly be in the picture.

Seth Rollins

Since Seth is one of the most popular superstars on the main roster, he should be considered as the winner of the Royal Rumble. He puts up solid matches, has championship experience, and has the crowd behind him to boot.

The main event as WrestleMania is a prime spot for someone like Seth Rollins, especially when you look back at the year he had. My only hope if they choose Rollins? A match against someone other than Brock Lesnar for the main event!
