Heading into UFC 231, most folks knew that the bout between Thiago Santos and Jimi Manuwa would deliver fireworks and then some, and that’s exactly what went down.
Santos had Manuwa in all sorts of trouble not long into the bout, after cracking him with a big shot. Manuwa managed to recover, however, and both light-heavyweights proceeded to land thumping strikes in several, ensuing exchanges.
In round two, both men came out winging vicious shots again, but Santos tagged Manuwa with a huge uppercut and a follow-up hook that finished the wild slugfest.
