Hollywood elites like Meryl Streep have spent the past few years hurling increasingly unhinged attacks at President Donald Trump. While speaking at “An Evening with Stephen Colbert” on Saturday, Streep hit a new low when she whined about how “scared” she is living in Trump’s America.
Breitbart reported that Streep claimed she is “scared” of Trump because she believes he will do “anything” to protect his children, who she claims are in danger.
“I’m scared by (Trump),” Streep said. “By his possibility. I empathize with him. I can’t imagine what his 3 a.m. is like. There is a gathering storm. Everybody feels it. He feels it. His children are in jeopardy, and I feel that. I think, what if my children were jeopardy? I would do anything. Anything! To get them out of trouble. So we should be afraid.”
Streep was referring to reports that White House Special Counsel Robert Mueller is preparing to target Trump’s children in his investigation.

Streep’s comments are incredibly melodramatic, to say the least. She is one of the wealthiest actresses in Hollywood, so she has no reason to be “scared” of any president, as her money will ensure that she will be fine regardless. Like her fellow elites in Hollywood, Streep has completely lost touch with the plight of the working class Americans who Trump is helping. Trump did not become president to help fill the pockets of Streep and her fellow overpaid stars. Instead, he is focused on helping working Americans who actually need it. This is Streep’s worst nightmare, of course, which is why she now spends her days acting as if the sky is falling based on everything Trump does.
In the end, most Americans have lost all faith in what Hollywood elites say about politics. Streep can whine about it all she wants to, but there’s nothing she can actually do to stop Trump from being reelected again in 2020!
