Fox News reported that Hollywood star Megan Fox, known for her role in the Transformers movies, just spoke out to reveal why she has felt excluded by the #MeToo movement to the point where she has decided to keep her personal #MeToo stories private going forward. Nearly a decade ago, Fox implied that director Michael Bay sexualized her on the set of Transformers when she was just 15, yet she felt that she was widely panned for this by the very Hollywood feminists who are leading the #MeToo crusade.
Leftwing Hollywood feminists have been having a field day with the #MeToo movement, as they claim to be warriors for women everywhere. Of course, like many liberals, these so-called feminists are only interested in standing up for women who look and think exactly like they do.
“My words were taken and used against me in a way that was — at that time in my life, at that age and dealing with that level of fame — really painful,” Fox said. “I don’t want to say this about myself, but let’s say that I was ahead of my time and so people weren’t able to understand. Instead, I was rejected because of qualities that are now being praised in other women coming forward.”
“And because of my experience, I feel it’s likely that I will always be just out of the collective understanding,” the actress continued. “I don’t know if there will ever be a time where I’m considered normal or relatable or likable.”
Fox fears #MeToo won’t see her as a “sympathetic victim.”
Fox went on to explain that she believes her status as a sex symbol will cause other feminists to not take her story seriously.
“Even with the #MeToo movement, and everyone coming out with stories — and one could assume that I probably have quite a few stories, and I do — I didn’t speak out for many reasons. I just didn’t think based on how I’d been received by people, and by feminists, that I would be a sympathetic victim. And I thought if ever there were a time where the world would agree that it’s appropriate to victim-shame someone, it would be when I come forward with my story.”
Fox appears to have just learned how hypocritical liberals can be. They claim to be out to protect all women, yet they scoff when a woman who has been sexualized all her adult life like Fox tries to join their movement. They claim to support females and minorities, yet they are also quick to slam people in these group who dared to vote for Donald Trump. There’s nothing open-minded about the modern liberal, and if the left took a good hard look at themselves, they might realize that they are the racist and sexist ones.
