– When Ronda Rousey joined WWE, they quickly paired with her Natalya as the two were mentioned as best friends. It seemed that WWE would likely have Natalya turn on Rousey, but that angle has been dropped. The Wresting Observer Newsletter stated how the sudden passing of Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart caused the change.
WWE has basically gone in a different direction as both are working separate feuds. Natalya is feuding with Ruby Riott and Rousey has several programs lined up against Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch and Nia Jax; who seems to be next as she won a title shot at Evolution and WWE is pushing her as the top female heel on RAW.
With the road to WrestleMania beginning at January’s Royal Rumble, there is little room to toss in another storyline with Rousey. After WrestleMania 35 and the fallout passes, WWE could always go back to Rousey vs. Natalya.
– In a bit of a surprise, Lars Sullivan is being called up to the main roster. While the vignettes hyping his debut do not state what brand he will end up on, the plan is for the NXT superstar to join SmackDown. With RAW full of larger type athletes, the idea is that Sullivan will not get lost in the shuffle on the blue brand.
Vince McMahon is very high on the look of Sullivan and that could be the reason he is already joining the main roster. The plan is to have Sullivan go on a winning streak, where he mostly squashes his opponents.
Before the vignettes started airing, it appeared Sullivan and Keith Lee were about to start a storyline in NXT. Also, many people are commenting how Sullivan is still green and needs more time in NXT.
While part of NXT, Sullivan has been heavily pushed. He basically squashed all his opponents and even earned a NXT Championship shot during one of the Takeover cards.
