Following Santiago Ponzinibbio‘s dominant, knockout win over Neil Magny last weekend at UFC Argentina, “Gente Boa” has moved up several spots in the welterweight ranks.
In the updated UFC rankings, the Argentinean fighter is now sitting in the #7 ranking at 170, after moving up three spots. Magny, meanwhile, slipped three positions and is now #11.
The victory extended Ponzinibbio’s winning streak to 7, and it moved his overall UFC record to a very impressive, 9-2. So, it’s not surprising to see him closing in on the top five.
Ricardo Lamas also received a rankings bump, after finishing Darren Elkins at the aforementioned event, as the featherweight contender moved up two spots and is now #11. Elkins slipped a position and is currently ranked #15.
UFC Argentina took place in Buenos, Aires.
