Following Chan Sung Jung’s thrilling, but devastating KO loss to Yair Rodriguez on Saturday night, “The Korean Zombie” has shared out a statement for his fans.

Jung battled the acrobatic featherweight in the headliner of UFC Denver, in what was back-and-forth war. It looked like Jung was going to go on to record a decision victory, but with one second left, yes, one second, Rodriguez KO’d TKZ with a ducking elbow.

More recently, the classy and respectful Jung posted this statement on Facebook:

I don’t have an excuse.. I’m so sorry for all the people who helped me.. Thank you.. Congratulations to those who hate me. I will stay in the hospital for a few more days before leaving for Korea since I was told I am not healthy enough to take a flight yet. It’s a shame..I’ll see you when I get back.

Now, obviously, a win for Jung would have put him in a much better position, in terms of the rankings. But, really, considering his performance on Saturday, and that it was in the main event, there’s no question that TKZ’s stock also rose that night.
