This time a month ago, Derrick Lewis was getting set to face Alexander Volkov at UFC 229. Daniel Cormier, meanwhile, wasn’t expected to defend the heavyweight belt until 2019 against Brock Lesnar.
Well, thanks to a thrilling, come-from-behind KO win Lewis scored at UFC 229, and injuries that hit the UFC 230 line-up, Cormier will face the feared slugger tonight. If Lewis wins, it will widely be considered one of the biggest upsets in UFC championship history.
