Possible Injury At Takeover WarGames

– In the main event of yesterday’s Takeover, there was another installment of WarGames. In the main event, War Raiders, Ricochet & Pete Dunne defeated The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, Bobby Fish & Roderick Strong). The match featured a slew of weapons and several worthy spots worth remembering. There was some concern that Bobby Fish was injured at some point in the main event.

While seven of the wrestlers left the ring under their own power, Fish needed help from officials getting to the back. Like during past Takeover cards, Triple H spoke about the show and provided an update on Fish. Despite needing help to the back, Triple H stated that Fish was okay.

Fish was out of action for months are suffering a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee. At the time, Undisputed Era was starting to receive a major push as Kyle O’Reilly & Fish just captured the NXT Tag Team Championships and Adam Cole would become the first NXT North American Champion months later. The injury forced a change in plans, as Roderick Strong went from their enemy to fellow stablemate.

Considering how violent WarGames was, wrestlers are bound to leave with bruises and lumps. We should know more at the TV tapings later in the week if the injury is worse then what was initially reported. As for the rest of card, nobody else seemed to get badly hurt; despite some stiff falls.

– Before Takeover WarGames, WWE taped a few NXT matches from the Staples Center that should air this Wednesday. Below are spoilers for the WWE Network exclusive.
