Recently ONE Championship has signed former UFC champs Demetrious Johnson and Eddie Alvarez, and now another former champ, Miesha Tate has joined the promotion in an executive role.
Yes, the Asian based promotion has has announced that Tate has been appointed Vice President of ONE. In a press release announcing the news, the retired fighter was quoted saying:
“I am thrilled to join ONE Championship as a Vice President. I truly believe in its mission of unleashing real-life superheroes who ignite the world with hope, strength, dreams, and inspiration. I’m honored to bring my experience as a World Champion and to help inspire the next generation of athletes. And of course, I am excited to relocate to my new home, Singapore, and travel throughout Asia!”
This is big news for Tate, and it’s another, interesting addition by ONE. Rich Franklin, the UFC’s former middleweight champ, is also a VP with the organization.
