Gail Kim Calls WWE Racist

– After being blacklisted by WWE, Hulk Hogan is back. He appeared early at Crown Jewel to help warm up the crowd up. While many knew Hogan’s return was only a matter of time, the location might not have helped as the event came from Saudi Arabia. Former WWE Women’s Champion and later Impact Wrestling Champion Gail Kim was not pleased with Hogan’s return and claimed WWE is racist.

This led to fans pointing out examples of Cedric Alexander, Titus O’Neil and New Day finding success while also winning gold. Kim still was not buying the comparison, noting how much more happens backstage than fans actually see.

The egging from fans continued as they mentioned how the Impact Wrestling Hall of Famer returned to WWE for a second stint; although it was not memorable and you would not know even know Kim returned unless you watched all the second tier shows.

Kim spent 2002 to 2004 in WWE and then 2008 to 2011. She is best known for capturing the WWE Women’s Championship in her debut and being the first Knockouts Champion in Impact Wrestling history. Since retiring, Kim works backstage for Impact Wrestling.

John Cena and Daniel Bryan told WWE officials they would not head to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel. Both were replaced on the card, with Bobby Lashley taking Cena’s place.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated that Cena was told by those outside of WWE that working a show in Saudi Arabia would not look good as he tries to transition into Hollywood.
