Batista-Brock Lesnar? + Roman Reigns In Storylines + Mexican Death Match

-After SmackDown 1000, fans were speculating that we might get a special match at WrestleMania featuring Dave “The Animal” Batista against Triple H. Unfortunately, Hunter suffered a pectoral injury during Crown Jewel, so it would seem he is done for a while.

That has not stopped the rumblings of yet another Batista-WWE run, however. One match that appears to not be on the table for a possible Batista return, however, would be a match against Brock Lesnar.

Dave Meltzer reported on his weekly Observer radio program that WWE was not considering any match pairing the current Marvel movie star working opposite the (as of this writing) RAW Universal Champion.

With all the chatter, it does seem likely we will see Batista in some fashion over WrestleMania weekend. If he does indeed return, hopefully this comeback goes significantly better than his last run with the company.

Roman Reigns vacated the Universal title just a few weeks ago, and has not been seen on TV since. However, that has not stopped WWE from bringing up the sick Superstar in promos-going so far as to mention his leukemia diagnosis.

According to Dave Meltzer, WWE plans to continue to use Reigns and his diagnosis in storylines moving forward.

On one hand, it’s encouraging that they will continue to keep him involved, if only by way of mentions, for the time he is away battling his cancer.

On the other hand, given the illness, fans may have hoped WWE could have avoided making use of the situation in storylines. That being said, it comes as no surprise that WWE will continue to refer to it.

-In a bit of shocking footage, one Mexican wrestler took a death match too far. As shown in the video, the perpetrator flung what appeared to be a concrete brick at the head of his opponent. The opponent suffered a blood clot that required emergency surgery, and the attacking wrestler has been suspended.

WWE Hall of Famers Bully Ray and Kurt Angle both sounded off about the heinous incident on Twitter.
