Aleister Black

The WWE is currently promoting the arrival of Lars Sullivan on the main roster, but he might not be the only one to get a main roster upgrade. According to Wrestler Observer Radio, Aleister Black is next in line for a main roster upgrade.

Management Wants Him for Raw or SmackDown

Aleister Black

Dave Meltzer has stated that his backstage sources keep on mentioning Aleister Black for the next major roster upgrade. Based on Meltzer’s statements, it appears someone in WWE management has his eyes on Aleister Black for the main roster. That being said, it is unclear if this person is from the SmackDown or the Raw brand.

Black has impressed on the NXT roster so far. He had matches with the likes of Johnny Gargano, Tomasso Ciampa, and Velveteen Dream. Each match was a gem.

After his run as the NXT Champion, there is little left for Aleister Black to do on the NXT roster. There are a number of feuds going on and there seems little room left for the Dutch assassin.

Interesting Rivalries for Black on the Main Roster

Aleister Black

A main roster upgrade for Aleister Black makes a lot of sense at the moment. There are a bunch of people on the main roster he could face. Black is considered a tween, but has been taking on more of a face persona on the NXT roster.

One of the possible opponents for Aleister Black, and the obvious choice, would be Andrade Cien Almas. Cien Almas had an amazing rivalry with Black on the NXT roster. If Black goes to SmackDown, it would allow him to spend some time with his girlfriend Zelina Vega.

On the opposite side of the coin, if Black goes to the Raw roster, there are some other people that could provide us with some dream matches. Drew McIntyre might be my first pick, followed by Seth Rollins, and Finn Balor. There are countless options on the Raw roster, and let’s face it, the Raw roster could use some serious help at the moment.
