Smackdown Live: 8 pm EST

Show opens up and WWE Champ AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan come out to the ring. Bryan says he’s going to take Styles’ title and Styles reveals that the pele kick last week wasn’t an accident after all. Tensions rise and Styles says he’ll defend his title against Bryan tonight, instead of waiting until Crown Jewel this Friday. Smackdown Commissioner Shane McMahon comes out and says usually in these case the match never happens. But this match is happening… right now.

WWE Championship Match: AJ Styles (c) vs. Daniel Bryan

Bell sounds and the two men start jockeying for position. Styles gets the upper hand early but Bryan defends. Styles dumps Bryan to the apron and Bryan slowly steps back into the ring to reset. Bryan gets the upper hand now and he lands some kicks until Styles slugs him with a hard right hand. They scramble and Styles levels Bryan with a dropkick, sending Bryan rolling out of the ring for a breather.

Styles goes for a slingshot cross-body but Bryan evades, slides into the ring and returns with a suicide dive out on Styles. Commercial break.

Back again and Styles is working on Bryan’s leg. Styles goes for a moonsault-scorpion death drop but Bryan sees it coming and counters with a throw. Then Bryan lands the Yes Kicks. He starts a “Yes” chant with the crowd and then charges in for the Running Knee but Styles lands a quick counter-dropkick. Styles goes for the Phenomenal Forearm but Bryan pushes him off balance and then goes for a belly-to-back superplex. Styles turns it in midair to counter. Commercial.

Back again and Bryan sinks in the Yes Lock. Styles escapes and drops Bryan hard on the outside on his injured knee. Styles continues his assault but then Bryan whips Styles into the steel ring-steps. In the ring now and Bryan tries to get fired up. He charges and nails Styles with some dropkicks in the corner and then goes for a Frankensteiner. Styles blocks and looks for the Styles Clash off the turnbuckle but Bryan fights hard and gets the Frankensteiner over after all.

Bryan keeps the pressure on, but Styles finds an opening to wrench on Bryan’s leg and halt his momentum. Styles goes for a Phenomenal Forearm but Bryan counters with a slam into an armbar. Styles fights the pain and manages to shift position, but Bryan transitions into the triangle choke. Styles somehow shifts their position into a Styles Clash and then slaps on the Calf Crusher. Bryan fights as long as he can but is forced to submit to the pain.

Winner: AJ Styles (c)

After the match, the two men shake hands and hug in a show of respect for one another. But suddenly Samoa Joe runs in and attacks Styles from behind and Bryan is bumped out of the ring in the process. Joe puts Styles in the Coquina Clutch and chokes him out until Bryan runs in to Styles’ rescue. Joe attacks Bryan’s leg and puts him in the Coquina Clutch as well. Joe holds the title belt over his head, as his 2 victims lay battered on the mat before him.

Trick or Street Fight: Big E (with New Day) vs. Cesaro (with Sheamus & Big Show)

There are pumpkins around the ring and everyone is wearing Halloween costumes of sorts. New Day enters as The Brood, with Gangrel’s music playing. Big E hits Cesaro with a Big Ending after blowing Gangrel’s signature red liquid in his face.

Winner: Big E

Shane McMahon gives The Miz, Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio a pep talk ahead of their participation in the World Cup Tournament. He tells them, whomsoever moves on in the tournament, if they should lose to a Raw superstar and allow his sister, Stephanie McMahon, to call a Raw star the “Best in the world”, the losing Smackdown star will no longer be able to call the Blue Brand their home.

United States Championship Match: Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. R-Truth (with Carmella)

Truth manages to clear Nakamura out of the ring and then Carmella jumps in and she and Truth do a dance break. Commercial.

Back again and Nak is in control. Truth fires back and lands some flashy and spectacular moves. Nak gets back in it and lands some knees into Truth’s belly, pinning for a 2-count. Nak lays Truth out with a Kinshasa and that’s all she wrote.

Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura (c)

Smackdown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch comes out to the ring. She says on Sunday she showed she’s the real main event and the best woman on both brands. She starts into Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey and says she’s going to rip her arm off in their match coming up at Survivor Series.

Tag Team Match: Randy Orton & The Miz vs. Jeff Hardy & Rey Mysterio

Bell sounds and Jeff locks up with Orton. Jeff has success early, hitting an armdrag and other various shots. Jeff has to fend off The Miz but is able to maintain control. He goes to the top rope but Miz knocks him off as Orton distracts the ref. Jeff falls to the mat and Orton takes control. Miz tags in and starts beating down Jeff. Orton and Miz cycle tags and keep Jeff isolated in their corner, away from being able to tag his partner Rey.

Orton pulls Jeff’s hair as he chokes him across the ring rope. Jeff continually tries to fight back, or make space, but Orton stifles him every time. Jeff finally hits a Whisper In The Wind and both men are down. Jeff wills himself to his feet and tags Rey, who comes in hot. Miz comes in on the other side and Rey takes it to him aggressively. Rey spikes Miz with a big DDT and gets a near-fall. Miz fires back with a huge backbreaker-knee-neckbreaker combo for 2.

Jeff ends up in the ring and he and Rey execute some team moves to Miz. Mysterio sets Miz up for a 619. He hits it and Jeff goes to the top rope. Jeff nails Miz with the Swanton Bomb for the finish.

Winner: Jeff Hardy & Rey Mysterio

After the match, Randy Orton hits everyone with RKOs.
