Ronda Rousey Versus Becky Lynch Announced for Survivor Series

Both Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch put on an amazing show in their respective matches at WWE Evolution. Now, the announcement has come that Becky and Ronda will face one another at WWE Survivor Series, a match everyone is looking forward too!

The WWE announced the impending match between Becky and Ronda on their Twitter account. As you may know, Survivor Series is all about brand supremacy, where the brand with the most individual victories comes out as the winner.

Becky Pokes the Rowdy One

Becky has been quite vocal on social media since her heel turn. She has been “attacking” fellow female wrestlers on her roster and has now added Ronda to the taunt list.

Nikki Bella can confirm it is not a good idea to taunt the current Raw Women’s Champion, but it did not stop Becky as she posted the following Tweet on social media.

Dream Match

The match between Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch is undoubtedly a dream match, even though the pair are not fighting for a title. Becky had been denied a deserved singles run for a long time. Now, she appears to finally get one, especially after the amazing fight she put on with Charlotte at Evolution.

Becky is a wrestler with a lot of experience, but we cannot forget to mention Ronda in the equation. Ronda may not have the wrestling experience as most of the women on the roster, nobody can deny she is incredible and amazing to watch. She has a natural talent for the business. If she can do this in the short time she has been training, imagine what she can do another five years down the line?

Can We Expect a Better Buildup This Time?

The WWE put in little effort for Evolution, but since Survivor Series is a mixed men and women’s pay-per-view, I am hoping the WWE puts in a little more work.

Survivor Series is one of the bigger pay-per-views of the year, so promotion should begin as soon as the dreaded “Crown Jewel” has ended. Promotion usually includes a brand invasion, where one brand attacks another. It happened last year where SmackDown invaded Raw in a major way. Raw would retaliate soon after.

I expect a similar promotion from the WWE this year, but I hope there could be more consequences for the losing brand. With Survivor Series, one always gets the feeling that nothing is on the line. I hope the WWE will turn up the heat and make things a little more interesting. The dream match between Becky and Ronda is a good beginning for sure!
