NXT UK Status Update

Wrestle Talk is reporting that NXT UK talent has been gathered in a somewhat hush-hush training camp. According to the report, the camp in the UK is seen as a sort of Performance Center equivalent geared at getting the NXT UK roster in better shape and better prepared for the TV product. Several key Performance Center trainers have made the trip to the UK to oversee the crash course.

Further, there is now talk of a possible NXT UK television deal being announced as soon as Thursday in London. While shows for the program have indeed already begun taping, nothing has been aired to date. Word is that the possible television deals had some issues which contributed to the lack of announcement to date.

-RAW Superstar Kevin Owens appears to be set to undergo surgery on an injured knee. He was effectively written off of RAW for the time being after he was attacked by Bobby Lashley. Following the attack, WWE announced that Kevin Owens had suffered knee injuries.

What is not yet known is the severity of his actual injuries. Currently, WWE officials hope the injury is minor and requires a simple and quick fix via surgery. This outcome would allow for a shorter recovery and thus a quick return to in ring action. Sources stated that they will not know the full extent of the knee injury until the doctor has Owens’ knee opened up. If the damage is more severe, Owens could be looking at a longer recovery.

If the injury is indeed the worst case scenario with a long recovery period, it could easily jeopardize Kevin Owens’s chances to be at any of the next few major shows.  For now, his participation in Survivor Series looks questionable at best. Whether he can be back in time for the Royal Rumble, perhaps as a surprise entrant, remains to be seen.
