Kathy Griffin Forced to Self-Fund Her Own Show

It takes a lot for a liberal actor to face backlash for a political smear. Typically, Tinseltown is willing to look the other way when it comes to the appalling behavior of some leftwing entertainers, but Kathy Griffin crossed that line and now she is paying the price.

Griffin may have written her entertainment epitaph last year when she posed for a photo shoot holding the “head” of President Trump, covered in fake blood. Her actions were so appalling that the mean girl of Hollywood was ridiculed and blacklisted. Griffin’s actions were so disgusting that she united the left and the right in their condemnation of her. She lost endorsement deals, her New Year’s Eve gig on CNN, and tour dates were canceled. She was persona non grata.

The redhead has become so untouchable that she had to take her show on the road. Since she wasn’t welcome at most venues in the United States after the backlash to her vitriolic Trump hate was so fierce, she was forced to travel to 17 other countries instead.

Kathy Griffin is trying to jump-start her career, but she’s having a very hard time. She hasn’t learned her lesson and continues throwing smears at the Trump family. She even took back her apology to the First Family after being called out. Because of her awful reputation, Griffin is forced to self-fund her own comedy special.

She’s willing to invest her own money because she is hoping that this will help her get back on television. Typical of Griffin, she is blaming the fact that she needs to self-finance on sexism and ageism. She is so devoid of personal responsibility that she is unable to look in the mirror and realize this is all her own fault.

“It’s a different kind of show than I’ve ever done,” Griffin said. “I’m still scary to all of the 60-year-old, white, male dinosaurs that are afraid to put me on TV…so I’m just going to get it in the can as they say.”

Her three-hour comedy special would focus on her federal investigation into what many viewed to be threats to the President. To most Americans, threatening to behead the Commander-in-Chief is not a laughing matter. She’d probably be better off spending this money on therapy rather than a comedy special that will fall flat.

It takes a lot for a liberal to be blacklisted in Hollywood. Kathy Griffin earns this scorn.
