Heel Turn At Super Show-Down? Rey Mysterio On RAW or SD LIVE?

– Huge heel turn *spoiler alert* coming for this Saturday’s WWE Super Show-Down (SSD) in Australia! Although, is it really? There have been huge internet rumblings around the fact that Nikki Bella versus Ronda Rousey for the RAW Women’s Championship is being slated to main event the first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view (PPV), Evolution, set for later this month.

Regardless, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter did note recently that the WWE Universe should expect a turn coming from the team babyface when the Bella Twins, along with Ronda Rousey, face off against The Riott Squad during the SSD event. And with the heat the Bellas, specifically Brie, have been getting around sloppy in-ring action as of late, no one should be shocked to see them turn on the women’s champ. This would undeniably help set up a program for Nikki versus Ronda at Evolution.

– We reported earlier this week that Rey Mysterio’s official return date to the WWE will take place during the 1000-episode celebration of SmackDown, airing on Tuesday October 16^th.

While Rey-Rey will have his first match back during the show, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter states that this doesn’t necessarily mean that he’ll be playing for Team Blue moving forward. It seems that there is no confirmation as of yet to where Mysterio will be placed when he comes back full time; however, the fact that he will be starting his return off on SD LIVE, show a little indication that this is where he may land.

Only time will tell. It’s been three long years since Mysterio has wrestled in the WWE, and with the slew of new talent that has come through the company’s doors since, he could be placed on either brand to launch multiple dream feuds. From Seth Rollins, to AJ Styles, Finn Balor, Shinsuke Nakamura, and more, Mysterio has two wide open fields when it comes to storylines. Either brand would be very lucky to have him.
