Crown Jewel’s Status, Details On Evolution’s Annouce Team

– As it has been for weeks, a major topic of discussion is Crown Jewel. There has been pressure to move or cancel the show since a Washington Post journalist was murdered in Saudi Arabia earlier in the month.

As of right now, PWInsider notes how the show is still a go and WWE will need to start sending some of their employees to prepare for the event on November 2. At the same time, tickets have yet to go on sale and WWE is said be looking for a new location.

John Cena and Daniel Bryan have told WWE officials that they will not participate at Crown Jewel, which means the card will need to be changed. Cena is part of the World Cup Tournament and Bryan is supposed to challenge WWE Champion AJ Styles. Neither have officially been removed from the card.

Yesterday, we mentioned how the odds of the show taking place decrease with each passing day. A final decision will need to be made immediately if the venue is changed.

The biggest selling point of Crown Jewel is Shawn Michaels coming out of retirement to team with Triple H against Undertaker & Kane. While cancelling the show would cost WWE millions of dollars, they are feeling pressure from the United States government and now their own talent.

Stay tuned as we continue to cover Crown Jewel’ status; which is easily turning into a public relations nightmare for WWE.

– Due to all the news this week, it almost feels like Sunday’s Evolution pay per view is an afterthought. That show will happen and we are starting to learn who will call the action.

WWE has the kickoff show starting at 6 PM EST with Renee Young, SmackDown General Manager Paige and Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix working the panel. Interviews will be conducted by Charly Caruso, Kayla Braxton, Dasha Fuentes, Cathy Kelley and Sarah Schreiber. Ring announcers are set to be Lilian Garcia, JoJo and Kayla Braxton.

Once the show begins at 7 PM EST, the play by play team will be Renee, Phoenix and Michael Cole. This makes Cole one of the few males that will be present on TV for the first ever all female WWE pay per view.

Be sure to join WrestleNewz on Sunday for coverage of the historic event.
