WWE Planning Two Saudi Events

– Things have seemed a little flip-floppy around Crown Jewel for some time now, and there has been a ton of speculation as to whether or not the event would continue as planned in Saudi Arabia for November 2nd, or if the WWE would cancel the event or simply change location.

Well, such wondering has officially ended as of this morning, when the WWE released its 2018 Q3 Report Results, with the below statement:

“WWE has operated in the Middle East for nearly 20 years and has developed a sizable and dedicated fan base. Considering the heinous crime committed at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, the Company faced a very difficult decision as it related to its event scheduled for November 2 in Riyadh. Similar to other US-based companies who plan to continue operations in Saudi Arabia, the Company has decided to uphold its contractual obligations to the General Sports Authority and stage the event. Full year 2018 guidance is predicated on the staging of the Riyadh event as scheduled.”

With that said, it looks like the WWE needs to get moving, as they have an event some days away. With everything now ‘a-go’ for Crown Jewel to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia the company has a lot of work ahead of them within the next week.

Reports have surfaced that John Cena and Daniel Bryan were said to not be heading to Crown Jewel, if the event took place in Saudi. No word yet on their status for the PPV, now that the location is locked in.

Sasha Banks thankfully made her in-ring Monday Night RAW return some weeks back, and is well enough to participate in WWE’s first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view (PPV) Evolution; however, there was a ton of speculation from wrestling fans and media alike as to what was going on with the top female superstar to keep her away from action.

The Boss recently appeared on Maria Menounos’ Conversations and relayed that post-concussion symptoms is what landed her on the sidelines for most of September and some of October. It seems that a pain in her head was keeping her from functioning day-to-day activities where Banks couldn’t sleep or drive. She rightfully decided to get it check out, and thankfully is now back in that squared circle ready to take part in Evolution for a six-woman tag match that pits her, as well as former WWE Women’s Champions Bayley and Natalya against newbies The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, and Sarah Logan).
