Tim Allen doesn’t carry liberal Hollywood’s heavy water. He’s paid the price for his conservative views by being blackballed and having his hit show canceled by ABC. His most recent comments about President Trump might get him into even more hot water with Tinseltown liberals, but he could care less.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Allen applauded President Trump’s job performance. While he might be conservative, the “Last Man Standing” actor doesn’t see himself as a Trump cheerleader so these comments are going to be particularly stinging to Hollywood leftists.
Allen thinks we should look beyond Trump’s style of communication and look directly at his results, which are impressive.
“Do I like him or agree with him? … I don’t know,” Allen said. “Somebody got this NAFTA thing done. How did that happen? It’s like a slight of hand with this dude. There’s this smoke and smelly food but over here he just fixed a pothole. The theater of this is fascinating. He doesn’t do it very attractively but you don’t even realize the economy is doing better. Is it? There’s so much drama. Maybe it took this type of guy to get stuff done because it was so stuck in the mud. I’m just watching the theater of it and trying to keep my personal opinions out of it. What difference does it make whether I like him?”

That’s exactly right. Results matter and even if some don’t like Trump’s brand of getting his message across, he’s getting the job done in a way that no previous president was ever able to. Allen also believes people need to be patient with President Trump to see what else he is able to accomplish.
“I’ve met [Trump] at the charity event years ago, and that certainly doesn’t fit with the man who tweets. I’ve met a lot of people in private whose public persona is a bit off,” the actor continued. “My perception is ‘let’s see what he gets done.’ Let’s stop banging on the pilot’s door and trying to pull the guy out of his seat while he’s still flying. You might not like how he’s flying the plane but let’s let him land it.”
Fox is bringing back “Last Man Standing” after the successful show was canned by ABC. After watching the promo in the video below, viewers will be excited to watch the premiere on September 28th.
