Ronda Rousey Takes Jab At Brock Lesnar

Just when I thought I could not like Ronda Rousey more, she proves to me again why she is one of the most lovable WWE superstars at the moment. Her win at Summerslam was fantastic, and she does not hold back when it comes to one of our her fellow MMA-rooted wrestlers.

“I Am Not Brock Lesnar”

After her epic win at Summerslam, Ronda Rousey reassured the WWE Universe that she would be an active champion, and threw some shade at Brock Lesnar at the same time (God, she’s great).

During a post-Summerslam Raw appearance, she promised she would compete every night, contrary to her MMA colleague Brock Lesnar, who rarely graces the fans with his presence.

“I am not Brock Lesnar. I’m going to be a fighting champion competing every night. And I can’t wait to get in the ring with each and every one of you.”

The Beast Lost His Title

While Ronda is on top of the world, it seems like Brock Lesnar’s title reign has truly come to an end. Roman beat Lesnar quite swiftly at Summerslam and finally took the title from the Beast.

Shortly after his defeat, UFC rumors starting getting stronger again. He even received a taunt from Cormier, who commented on the Beast’s improved physique while challenging him to a fight. Daniel Cormier has been one of Lesnar’s potential rivals in the UFC since July. To be honest, I don’t really care, just as long as he’s gone from the WWE.

Ronda IS Different from Lesnar

When it comes to Lesnar, he always has an air around him. What I mean with that is I think he feels like he deserved the reign he got and that he should be revered for it. However, the crowd turned and got sick and tired of an inactive champion.

Let’s face it until a possible UFC return was in the cards, Brock Lesnar showed little interest in putting on a good show, let alone work on his in-ring physique. Now that he probably will return to UFC, he is suddenly getting fit again.

Ronda is quite different. She is so grateful for each opportunity and has a good reputation backstage as well. It is difficult not to like Ronda and her kind and determined personality certainly have something to do with that.

One of the other things I love about Rousey is her work ethic, but also her big heart. She had so much pressure on her from the word go, but boy did she deliver. She’s perfect for the WWE and she will grow into an even more amazing wrestler than she already is. So, I ask you, could you ask for a better champion than Ronda?
