A 30-year-old man is facing a felony charge for ripping the Make America Great Again hat off a teenager. Kino Jimenez also threw soda in the teen’s face. The San Antonio man has been indicted by a grand jury for a charge of theft of person. This is a state jail felony.
This might be just what the Trump-hating Resistance needs to learn a lesson. This charge carries a minimum of six months and a maximum of two years behind bars. Since Jimenez doesn’t have prior felony convictions, he would be eligible for possible probation or deferred adjudication. Hopefully, he gets a judge who is tough on crime and demands accountability. This behavior from the “tolerant left” should not be tolerated.
Viral video of a man identified as Jimenez taking 16-year-old Hunter Richard’s MAGA hat grabbed national headlines in July. This happened in a Nacogdoches Whataburger at 2 am. The man ripped the hat from the teen and asked why he was wearing it. Hunter replied it was because he supports President Trump. That’s when the man threw the drink on the teen.
“You ain’t supportin’ s–t, n—-,” he said as he walked out of the restaurant with the teen’s hat.
Despite never being convicted of a felony before, this isn’t Jimenez’s first brush with the law. His criminal record includes driving while intoxicated and marijuana possession.
After he was arrested in July following the MAGA hat incident, the bar where he worked part-time announced that he was no longer employed there. These stupid actions have had some very negative consequences for Jimenez. Not only did he lose his job, but now he is facing jail time, as well.
Hunter Richards never got his hat back, but he got something better. President Trump sent him an autographed MAGA hat. The teen is being positive about the experience and hopes to have rational conversations with people who politically disagree with him.
“I support my president, and if you don’t, let’s have a conversation about it instead of ripping my hat off,” the teen said.
