On the August 7th edition of Monday Night RAW, Ronda Rousey made her televised non-PPV wrestling debut. The former UFC Champion and Baddest Woman On The Planet squared off against the squirrelly vet and recent Alexa Bliss confidant Alicia Fox. Everyone thought it was going to be a quick tap-out for Rousey. But it turned out to be a little more than that. The match started after Bliss and Fox smacked talked Rousey for a bit. This ended quickly once Rousey’s music hit. Alexa ran for cover as Ronda hit the ring. From there, Alexa provided a few distraction and Fox got in a few licks before Ronda decided she had enough.

From then on, Rousey went into destroyer mode. The one-armed judo throws looked brutal. I am shocked Alicia didn’t lose her arm.

She then suplexed Fox clear across the ring. Someone call the cops.

Rousey ended the match with a brutal-looking short-arm bar

Alexa is scared.

Ronda finished the night with an emphatic mic drop smash.

There was a rumor this whole match took place due to Alicia Fox screaming at Rousey’s husband, former UFC star Travis Browne during WrestleMania weekend. If so, that would explain some of the extra brutality.

The Verdict on Ronda Rousey’s RAW debut?

Ronda Rousey is far ahead of expectations. She has a polish and ring presence a lot of established veterans don’t even have. Will she win at SummerSlam? It is possible, but I doubt it. There is talk that Natalya will cost her a victory and the belt. Though I am not sure how they make Rousey lose without making her…lose. If speculation is to be believed, Rousey is main eventing WrestleMania next year. I could see a DQ finish or even Ronda winning and holding the belt until Mania. There she would most likely meet Charlotte in a historic “Champion vs. Champion” match.

What do you think? Are you pleased with Ronda’s wrestling prowess so far?
