UPDATE: WWE has CONFIRMED! Trish Stratus will face Alexa Bliss!

We’re still two months away from the first ever all-women’s PPV, Evolution. The event promises a mix of veterans, current stars, and up-and-comers with every women’s WWE title on the line and the Mae Young Classic finals taking place. The card should be stacked. But up until now, WWE has been mum on match-ups. Well, they let at least one match out of the bag tonight during NXT Takeover Brooklyn IV. It involves perhaps the best villain in WWE currently facing off against perhaps the most influential female wrestler of the Attitude Era.

Both Trish and Alexa are stars known for their deadly looks who worked hard to prove themselves in the ring. This is exciting. I hope to see more veteran-current match-ups, but I also want to see plenty of young talent get their chance. Also, does this mean Bliss is losing the Raw Women’s Title at SummerSlam to Ronda Rousey?

But then again, this match could not even happen. Sasha Banks herself has lobbied for a match against Stratus. We will see!
