It’s been nearly two months since Roseanne Barr lost everything due to an offensive tweet about Valerie Jarrett. Now, sources are saying that Barr has issued a call to fellow comedian Jerry Seinfeld begging him for help, showing just how desperate and dire her situation has become.

“Jerry’s word carries a lot of weight in Hollywood,” an insider shared with Radar Online. “He’s respected for being generous, honest and kind.”

The source explained that Barr is begging Seinfeld to have her on his show, Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee. He has famously stood up for comedians like Michael Richards and Louis C.K. who went through very public scandals, so Barr has hope that he may help her get her career back as well.

“She wants to give her side of the story in a casual setting and reassure people she’s not the pariah she’s made out to be,” the insider added.

This comes a month after Seinfeld appeared to slightly come to Barr’s defense by saying that ABC should not have canceled her sitcom “Roseanne.”

“I didn’t see why it was necessary to fire her,” Seinfeld said at the time. “Why would you murder someone who’s committing suicide? But I never saw someone ruin their entire career with one button push. That was fresh.”

This statement was more support than Barr got from virtually anyone else in Hollywood, and she greatly appreciated it.

“She really appreciated the way Jerry stuck up for her and said she shouldn’t have been fired,” the source explained. “That’s given her hope.”

We would love to see Seinfeld have Barr on his show and finally give her a chance to tell her side of the story. Barr has suffered enough for what she did, and she deserves a shot at getting her career back on track!
