Prince Philip Likely To Skip Princess Eugenie’s Wedding For Very Sad Reason

The entire British royal family is preparing for another royal wedding later this year when Princess Eugenie ties the knot with Jack Brooksbank. Now, royal sources have made the surprising revelation that Eugenie’s grandfather Prince Philip, 97, likely will not be attending her nuptials for a very shocking reason.

“He does what he wants,” one source said, according to the U.K. Express. “He made a supreme effort for Harry. I would be very surprised if he did go because he is so estranged from Fergie. I think he will decide at the 99th hour.”

Philip is known to have long been estranged from his former daughter-in-law, Sarah Ferguson. Though she divorced Prince Andrew in 1992, Sarah has remained close to him over the years. Some sources say that the two even plan to remarry, but are waiting until after Philip passes away due to how much he despises her.

“The royal wedding will be difficult for the Duke of Edinburgh because he hates Fergie so much he can’t stand to be in the same place as her,” an insider said.

“Believe it or not, they do live together at the Royal Lodge,” another source said of Andrew and Sarah. “She used to stay in a different house, but she sold it and moved in after the Queen Mother died. He made her an apartment there to stay there. It’s a strange relationship, no one really knows, even I don’t quite know how it all works.”

It’s sad that Philip would let his feelings for Sarah keep him from attending his granddaughter’s big day! Regardless of what Philip feels that Sarah has done to him in the past, this day is about Eugenie, and she deserves to have her grandfather there to support her by watching her walk down the aisle. We can only hope that Philip changes his mind and ends up choosing to attend the wedding after all!
