Patricia Heaton isn’t your average actress. She’s been on successful sitcoms such as “Everybody Loves Raymond” and “The Middle.” This kind and compassionate woman smashes through the Hollywood stereotype by putting her faith first. Her commitment to Christ is rare in Tinseltown.
The Christian actress doesn’t shy away from expressing her faith. She’s also a very charitable woman. After “The Middle” wrapped up its final episode, the Cleveland native went to Uganda to help refugees as a representative of humanitarian nonprofit World Vision USA.
Before she left for Africa, she asked her fans on social media to pray for Victor, a young boy whose story had been highlighted by World Vision USA. Heaton’s fans stepped up to the request by flooding her with 700 prayers for Victor!
“I pray for the healing of Victor and his family’s hearts as well as the hearts of the leaders of his country,” one Heaton fan prayed. Another wrote, “God, please let Victor know that you are with him.” Another prayed that Victor would be reunited with his parents.
When the actress got to Uganda, she personally read those prayers to the young refugee who clearly appreciated that so many people on the other side of the globe cared so deeply about him.
Watch the video below to see Victor’s reaction after learning that over 700 people were praying for him.
It is so heartwarming to know that people are praying for you. It’s even more amazing when they are people you have never met before. Victor clearly feels the love and kindness of these prayerful people.
Heaton also cooked and cared for these children while in Uganda. This isn’t her first time traveling to care for refugees. In 2017, the actress traveled to Jordan to assist Syrian refugees.
Share this if you are praying for Victor!
