Kimmel Attacks Melania – MISTAKE!

Late night television host Jimmy Kimmel spoke out to mock First Lady Melania Trump during his show on Tuesday night, but it didn’t end well for him.

Melania has been a frequent punching bag for Kimmel on his show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” ever since she became First Lady, but with her approval ratings soaring, many are starting to think his attacks on her are going too far. The Daily Beast reported that in his opening monologue, Kimmel talked about the fact that a sinkhole has developed on the White House South Lawn near the press room.

“Which is very interesting and weird, because exactly one year ago today, a sinkhole opened at Mar-a-Lago. And now there’s one outside the White House. I’m starting to think maybe God’s aim is slightly off. Are we sure this is a sinkhole and not one of Melania’s escape tunnels?” he asked. “I don’t want to read into it, but she did ask for a headlamp for Mother’s Day.”

Kimmel clearly had not done his homework, as he does not seem to realize that Americans are standing by Melania more than ever before. Earlier this month, CNN reported that 57% of Americans have a positive view of Melania, her highest approval rating ever.

Kimmel quickly learned the hard way how popular Melania is, however, as he has been flooded with backlash from social media users who are sick and tired of seeing our First Lady be used as a punchline for his distasteful jokes.
