Wrestling is a dangerous business. Even if you’re just a commentator. The risks are real. Don’t Try This At Home. Even if you’re a commentator, the desk can’t keep you safe. You can still suffer “debilitating” injuries. Corey Graves learned that the hard way on the May 22nd episode of SmackDown Live. Due to some shenanigans from a certain pancake-throwing gyrating big man, a rogue pencil stabbed Graves in the hand! Thankfully, Graves is expected to make a full recovery and be back on television next week. Show this to anyone who thinks wrestling is ‘fake.’

Oh no. Corey. I hope you’re OK. And Big E? Shame on you. Your tomfoolery has finally gone too far!

Of course, this isn’t the first time Big E injured a co-worker by “accident.”

Graves isn’t the first WWE commentator to be injured in the line of duty.

There was this devastating injury to Michael Cole at the hands of Seth Rollins.

Cole was also F-5ed by a furious Brock Lesnar.

This followed The Beast Incarnate burying Booker T under the announcement table

The commentary position is a dangerous one. You’re feet from the action and a rogue body, pencil, jacket, or pancake can catch you at any time!

Please keep Corey Graves in your thoughts and prayers through this difficult time. Hopefully, his hand is fully healed, and Big E is brought to justice!
