The Brock Lesnar Conundrum

I waited a few days to get this off my chest. I have to be honest; I was livid after WrestleMania 34. Brock Lesnar is still our WWE Universal Champion. When I wrote my predictions, I jokingly said that if Lesnar were to retain, some stuff would be thrown at my television set. However, the joke became a reality as I threw nearly everything on my coffee table in the direction of Brock Lesnar’s smirky face.

Why?

After approximately 10 minutes of total silence, this was the question I asked my other half, who was sitting next to me on the sofa. Honestly, I do not see the point. After such an abysmal match, what is the point in Lesnar retaining the title and reportedly getting a new contract with the WWE?

UFC Again?

Various media channels across the net are claiming Lesnar has re-signed with the WWE and has the option to do some UFC fights as well. If this is true, I’m trying not to swear in this article.

I thought the WWE would have learned after seeing Brock’s match at WrestleMania 34. Not only was he sloppy in his suplex executions, but he could also have seriously hurt Roman in the process. Come on people! Why would you re-sign someone like that? To please the casuals (fans who attend WWE events every now and again) or the upset the marks (die-hard wrestling fans) who follow you loyally every week? Seriously?

Roman Getting Heat

Even though Roman did everything right during the match, he is the one getting the flack for this abomination of the match. Not Lesnar, oh no, he is being treated like a king in his castle. He has NOT been punished for his use of anti-estrogen drugs, even though the UFC has suspended him for it. No, instead, he gets the title and still holds it until this day. And what happens when Roman comes out on Monday Night Raw? He gets the flack for Lesnar’s shoddy match and attitude. He gets the “you deserve it” chants as he comes out with a swelling on his head the size of a tennis ball. Are you kidding me?

The Greatest Royal Rumble

Since it is my job, I have to watch another abomination at the Greatest Royal Rumble. I feel bad for Reigns more than anything, a man who does have a work ethic and has improved dramatically over the past couple of years.

‘This is Awful,’ and ‘CM Punk’ chants were enough for me at WrestleMania 34. Strip the title off him and give some serious people a chance. End of story.

Suplex Nightmare!

As my blood pressure is increasing to unhealthy levels, I might have to stop my rant. I know it is professional wrestling, but wrestlers on the roster work hard to get their opportunities, Lesnar is the opposite of that. He used to be good; then he stopped caring. Sorry! He cares! About his paycheck…

What is your opinion on the Lesnar – Reigns match that took place at WrestleMania 34? What should happen to the Suplex Nightmare? Let me know in the comment section below.
