Former UFC champion Ronda Rousey has a big day ahead of her, but she still found time Saturday night to check out the UFC 223 co-main event between strawweight champion Rose Namajunas and Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
After 25 minutes, Namajunas was declared the winner, retaining her title.
Rousey will step inside the WWE ring Sunday night at WrestleMania 34 from New Orleans for her debut, teaming up with Kurt Angle to face Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.
“So proud of Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Rose Namajunas fighting their hearts out and representing all women and all fighters,” Rousey wrote. “UFC is lucky to have you both.”
Carano, who helped pave the way for women years ago before leaving MMA for movies, echoed those thoughts of Rousey.
“These two…throwing down…had us all invested like a heavyweight fight,” Carano posted. “All our hearts were in it. This was my main event. Congrats to both these (fighters).”
