After Fastlane, we are left with more questions than answers regarding Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. While it was expected that the pair would face each other, interference of SmackDown General Manager Shane McMahon cost both Zayn and Owenstheir titlee. So, what is next for the pair?

Andre the Giant Battle Royal?

One of the main rumors going around at the moment is that Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are expected to participate in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal.

While they would be a great addition to the Andre the Giant Battle Royal, you do have to wonder what the point was of Shane McMahon costing them the title at Fastlane.

I also wonder what the point is in putting them in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal in the first place. The two have a good thing going and do not really need the boost of the Battle Royal. Also, the last two winners of the Battle Royal did not exactly have astonishing career successes, since both Baron Corbin and Mojo Rawley have been holding onto the spotlight at SmackDown Live only barely.

Still, insiders at the WWE claim that Owens and Zayn will participate in the Battle Royal. One of the statements made by insiders is that the Andre the Giant Battle Royal has lost prestige. However, by adding Owens and Zayn to the mix, it could turn things around.

There could be another reason for the WWE adding Zayn and Owens to the Andre the Giant Battle Royal. The company is said to be desperate to draw attention to the match, mainly because there is a documentary about Andre the Giant coming up on HBO. So, by adding big names to the Battle Royal, the WWE hopes to draw in more viewers.

What Does This Mean for Their Storyline?

If Zayn and Owens are indeed being added to the Andre the Giant Battle Royal, you do have to wonder what this means for their storyline. Being competitors in the Battle Royal does nothing to further their story unless the WWE has something special planned for the event itself. I have no idea at this point.

Since Zayn and Owens have an interesting thing going, I do hope their storyline is included in the Battle Royal. Taking a U-turn at this point does not do them any favors. Some small part of me still hopes for a Daniel Bryan involvement, but the chances of that seem to get slimmer with each passing day.

What are the final plans for Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at WrestleMania? What do you think the WWE is planning? Let us know in the comment section below.
