Tim Allen Breaks Silence: Reveals Why ‘Last Man Standing’ Was Canceled

Tim Allen was shaken after ABC abruptly canceled his hit show, “Last Man Standing.” On Norm MacDonald’s show, Allen said he knows why the show was canceled: politics. Hollywood liberals don’t want to air shows with conservative themes or characters.

The comedian said, “There is nothing more dangerous, especially in this climate than a funny, likable conservative character. He is mitigated on the show by a family of women who had a difference of opinions, but [Mike Baxter] was a likable guy and a principled guy about work and ethics and all this stuff, I think.”

There isn’t a solid business reason for canceling the show. It appears to have been whacked because it didn’t subscribe to the left wing agenda. “Second biggest show, [ABC] hadn’t won a Friday night in 15 years. They put us out to pasture on Friday and we won Friday,” Allen told MacDonald. “Big night for us. Big night for them. I would have put Roseanne after us. Use us just to launch shows, if nothing else.”

Norm MacDonald appeared to agree with Allen. With 8.3 million viewers, it’s easy to understand why this cancellation appears to be politically motivated.

Why else would a network cancel a show that is performing so well? Their goal is to make money and advertisers pay for shows that are heavily watched. “Last Man Standing had huge ratings and ABC still canceled it!
