Chilling Death Wish Was Left For A Marine’s Father But His Response Is SO GOOD!

Military families go through a lot as their loved ones serve our country. They have to adjust as their family member is deployed. They not only miss their soldiers, but they also are constantly concerned for their safety.

These families also take a lot of pride in the fact that someone they love serves in the military. We owe our freedoms to these men and women who put their lives on the line to protect us. But parents who put a sticker on their car to support their Marine son got a stinging lesson in how awful some people can be towards our veterans.

Tami and Lewis Alexander have two stickers on their vehicle that simply say, “My Son Is A Marine” and “Proud Parent Of A US Marine.” After shopping at Wal-mart, Lewis returned to his car to find a note that simply pierced his soul. The note that was left under his windshield said, “F*** you and your son. I hope he dies!”

This horrific message brought Alexander to tears. He called police as he was concerned about the threatening note. “My son’s serving to protect that person’s right to do that, and it really hit me,” Lewis said. “So I called the sheriff’s department, I was crying.”

Alexander was tearful but said if he was able to respond to these haters he would do so in kindness. “If I could leave a note on his car, it would probably say, ‘God Bless you,'” he said in the video below.

Police said they were unable to do anything since a crime was not committed, but they took the opportunity to remind people to support our veterans and their families. They shared a post on Facebook. They hated to share the despicable note, but they also wanted to show what these families go through.

The Facebook post below reads in part: “To this man in Deltona, to anyone who’s served or is serving our country, and to all the families who sacrifice precious months and years with a loved one: THANK YOU and your son, daughter, husband, wife, relative or friend for what you’ve given us. We hope each and every man and woman comes home safe, although we know our world is not a safe place, and not everyone gets that homecoming. Our families are veteran families, too. We can’t put a note on every windshield, but we can say it here: We respect you, we support you and we’re here for you at home.”

It says quite a lot about Lewis Alexander’s character that he would still leave a kind note for the evil person who wishes harm to him and his son. Haters are always going to hate but the best thing we can do is not to stoop to their level.

Share this if you support our veterans!
