Just three weeks after giving birth, Counting On” star Joy-Anna Duggar and husband Austin Forsyth have already taken newborn son Gideon on his first big family trip!
Joy-Anna and Austin welcomed their first child on February 23, but they didn’t share the happy news until February 26. Afterward, the new parents went understandably silent on social media. However, on Sunday night, the Duggar family’s Facebook page shared a sweet photo of Joy-Anna, Austin, and baby Gideon. The look Gideon is giving his dad is priceless!
Joy-Anna looks absolutely fantastic so soon after giving birth. She’s positively glowing!
Joy-Anna, Austin, and baby Gideon are currently in Colorado with a few other members of their famous family. According to fan website “Duggar Family Blog,” Jim Bob and Michelle took a group of their children and grandchildren with them to the Granby Ranch ski resort. Another famously large reality TV family, the Bates from “Bringing Up Bates,” were also there. Additionally, a camera crew from “Counting On” was reportedly with the group.
This isn’t the first time Joy-Anna and Austin have gone skiing. They also went skiing in Switzerland during their honeymoon, where fans of “Counting On” were surprised to see Joy-Anna wearing ski pants. It’s unclear whether the new parents were able to hit the slopes with baby Gideon in tow, but another sweet photo of mom and baby was shared on the Duggar family Instagram account.
It’s been a whirlwind of a few months for the Duggar clan. In January, Jinger Duggar and husband Jeremy Vuolo announced they’re expecting their first child. Just two weeks ago, 21-year-old Josiah Duggar proposed to his girlfriend, 18-year-old Lauren Swanson. If that’s not enough, there’s a rumor that Jill Duggar Dillard is pregnant with her third child.
We’ll have to wait to see what exactly the Duggars got up to in Colorado, but “Counting On” fans can watch Joy-Anna’s birth special tomorrow night on TLC following an episode centered around her pregnancy announcement, beginning at 9 p.m. ET.
