Police Catch Break In Case Of Missing 23-Year-Old Woman!

Authorities in Texas are investigating human remains that were found Wednesday to see if they will help solve the case of Christina Morris, who has been missing since 2014.

The remains were found by a construction company that is building homes in Anna, which is north of Dallas. Human remains were spotted on a hillside by Andy Mitchell while he was clearing brush. They were about 50 yards south of the road along a utility right of way in a wooded area.

“You could just see really up on the hillside over there up in a little opening, there was a skull laying there,” Mitchell said. He found the skull next to what appeared to be a woman’s dress and undergarments.

23-year-old Morris went missing in August 2014 after being seen leaving a shopping center with acquaintance Enrique Arochi, who is now serving a life sentence for his role in her kidnapping after her DNA was found in his car.

Arochi has denied any wrongdoing regarding Morris’ disappearance. He told the Dallas Morning News in 2016, “I want to apologize to the Morris family for not being able to help them. My family and I are constantly praying for them and for Christina’s well-being.”

Christina Morris’ parents went to the scene where the remains were located. Her mother Jonni McElroy and friends Danielle Cox and Rosie Aschenbrenner arrived with flowers after learning about the discovery and the possibility that the remains were Christina’s. Her father, Mark Morris, also went to the site on Thursday.

The Collin County medical examiner’s office said they are still processing the remains and awaiting identification. “The Plano Police Department will make the announcement when it’s appropriate,” the medical examiner spokeswoman said.

The high profile case captivated Texans and many Americans who were concerned about Christina Morris’ disappearance. This might not be the ending her parents wish for, but it might bring them closure.
