When DJ Asks What Religion They Are, Roseanne Sets Him Straight!

Roseanne Barr’s sitcom really resonated with average Americans. Every week, we would get to watch the Conner family deal with situations with a lot of humor and love. The Conners were shown struggling with a lot of the same situations many of us were dealing with at the time.

The Conners weren’t what you would describe as religious people. When Roseanne and Dan learned that DJ had been secretly going to church after school, they wanted to talk to him about it.

DJ thought they would laugh at him, but his parents said they wouldn’t. The offered to answer any of his questions, but DJ immediately asked them a question they were unable to answer.

“What religion are we?” DJ asked his parents. Roseanne immediately responds by asking Dan what religion they are. Dan states that all of their parents are different religions.

The young boy then asks what they believe. Roseanne told him, “We believe in being good, so basically we’re good people.” Dan’s response to that had the audience roaring with laughter!

Watch this hilarious clip below:

“Roseanne” always handled tough questions by using humor, which helped make this show one of the most popular sitcoms in television history.

This beloved series is being rebooted 20 years after its initial run ended. It’s returning this year with the original cast! Barr is a Donald Trump fan. She said when she saw results on election night, she knew the series would be making a return because it’s just what the country needed.

The New York Post reported, “Our eavesdropper tells us that Goodman said, ‘I never thought in a million years we’d be back,’ and that Barr replied, ‘I did. As soon as I saw the election results, I knew we’d be back.’”

“I have always … attempted to portray a realistic portrait of the American people and working-class people,” Barr said, “And, in fact, it was working class people that elected Trump so I felt that was very real and something that needed to be discussed.”

A trailer of promos for the “Roseanne” reboot is below.

It appears to be the same show we loved in the 1990s! This is a relaunched series I will definitely be watching!
