Ask WNZ: WWE In The Olympics?

Here’s a fun one: we asked our writers which Superstars they’d see in the Winter Olympics, and in which sports.

Dorathy Gass:

Chris Jericho – He’s Canadian, and we Canadians need to learn to love and embrace our heavy snow falls at an early age. Jericho is into skiing … so maybe, he could participate in speed skiing.

Alexa Bliss – She definitely looks like the snowboarding type.

Kofi Kingston – Not placing Kofi in Olympic bobsledding after the success of Cool Runnings would be a huge miss.

Charlotte – She has the body and in-ring grace for figure skating. Her extensive training in gymnastics would definitely be an asset.

Kevin Owens – He’s got the aggression and rough/toughness to play Olympic men’s hockey. He’d play on Team Canada of course.

The Bella Twins – They look like A-typical ski bunnies, so maybe they could turn that into Olympic Gold since they’ve dominated everything in the WWE.

Zack Ryder – Looks like a surfer dude. What the equivalent to that in snow? Snowboarding!

John Deegan:

Here’s a few, in no particular order

Chris Jericho-men’s hockey. He’s talented so he could surely do whatever he wanted, but it’s well documented that hockey is in his blood.

Breezang0-pairs figure skating. Go ahead, it’s funny. Yes, I got the idea from a certain movie you may or may not have seen. They are frilly and funny and seem to be good dancers. Put them on skates and enjoy.

New Day-Curling. Why them, why curling? Why not. Every Winter Games, people get to talk about curling, but it’s only an every four years thing (unless you are like, Canadian).  So give the sport a few rock stars and who knows. Pancakes and curling?

Kairi Sane-she’s graceful and beautiful and strong. Give me her for figure skating.

Becky Lynch-The fiery hair. The steampunk. The goggles. Is there any doubt, she’s absolutely a snowboarding phenom waiting to happen.

Charlotte Flair: She’s got like a killer look. I don’t know why, but this screams biathalon to me.

Kassius Ohno-considering where his last name was taken from? Short track speed skating.

And and all cruisers-Put the flyers on the ski jump. They want to fly? They will absolutely fly.

Introduced to professional wrestling in the 1980's thanks to Superstars and Saturday Night's Main Event, John's passion for the medium was reborn thanks to ECW in the 90's. A former in-ring "talent" with a career 0-2 record, he finds it more rewarding, and far less painful, to write about wrestling now.
