The Miz makes his long-awaited return to Monday Night Raw tonight – and there’s reason to believe he could be headed for a feud with none other than the leader of Balor Club, Finn Balor.

Earlier this afternoon, The Miz arrived at the FedExForum in Memphis, Tenn., where he commented on the frankly surprising news that he’s partnering with Asuka in the forthcoming Mixed Match Challenge.

Of all the teams announced thus far, I personally find this one to be one of the strangest – but at least it will be entertaining.

But as the storylines on the Mixed Match Challenge will be independent from the main storylines happening on Raw on SmackDown, The Miz needs something else to fill his time; and all signs seem to indicate that he and the Miztourage are headed for a feud with Balor Club.

Balor Club vs. The Miztourage

On last week’s episode of Raw, Finn Balor teamed with Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows to take on Curtis Axel, Bo Dallas, and Elias. After his team’s win, Balor told WWE.com’s Mike Rome that “the boys are back in town,” possibly indicating that their alliance was for more than just one night only.

If this is true, I think it could be exactly what Balor needs to revive his career in WWE. Bullet Club is both insanely popular and an unstoppable merch machine – if WWE could tap into their own version of that with an original founding member of Bullet Club at the helm, it would go over huge with fans.

Further, there’s something to be said about the theory above that The Miz could challenge Roman Reigns for the Intercontinental Championship. Miz never got his rematch after Roman Reigns defeated him for the title in November – but Balor has also had his sights set on the Intercontinental Championship. Perhaps they both will challenge for the title, and then we’d get to see some sort of Balor Club vs. The Miztourage vs. The Shield scramble in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania?

That’d be too sweet, if I do say so myself.
